Gaelic Football

We have all levels of Gaelic Football in St. Mary’s- 1st, Junior and Senior Teams. We train every week and take part in The Leinster Championship at both Junior and Senior levels. Our teams play in the Leinster Under 14 Blitz and many other county blitzes for both First and Second Years. We also take part in County Championship at both Junior and Senior level.

In 2019 our Junior team celebrated winning the Junior B County Final.

Dublin Gaelic Footballer Lyndsey Davey is our Athlete Mentor for our Lidl Serious Support programme, which we took part in 2019/20 getting help with the goals we have as a team and as individuals. We also had two workshops with Lyndsey.  They were extremely beneficial and enjoyable for all players.

The GAA Future Leaders Module is also underway for Form 4 students. It is the first year this module is being offered to students at St. Mary’s College and we are delighted to have it here as it is full of interesting and useful modules. There are seven modules in this programme. These include Wellness, Nutrition, Statistics, Journalism, Refereeing, Coaching and Event Management. There is one task to complete in each of these modules.

These modules will be extremely beneficial in the development of life and communication skills.
