St. Mary’s College is renowned for its commitment to music and the arts and one of the highlights of our school life is the biennial musical. Students from all year groups take part both on stage and off to deliver outstanding performances over the course of a week. A production team works with the students to develop their stagecraft and teamwork skills. Audiences are always impressed with the standard of the production, while behind the scenes we are proud of how the students grow in confidence. The senior students become mentors to the younger students during the rehearsal process. This kind of ensemble approach to the arts is a keystone of our philosophy at St. Mary’s. In recent years, our productions of Legally Blonde, All Shook Up, High School Musical and Footloose have been hugely successful in showcasing the wealth of talent in our school.
